Dictionary

MLS 2026 includes an integrated spelling dictionary used throughout the program for text editing and spell checking functions.

When the software is first installed, each workstation must register the location of the supplied dictionary libraries. This is accomplished automatically using the Dictionary setup option.

The Dictionary setup is found under:

Tools → Setup → Dictionary


Initial Setup

This procedure only needs to be performed:

Once per workstation

After the initial installation

When selected, MLS 2026 automatically:

Locates the dictionary files

Registers the proper library paths

Activates the spell checking system

No additional configuration is normally required.


If the Dictionary Stops Working

Occasionally, Windows updates or workstation changes may interfere with the dictionary registration.

Symptoms may include:

Spell checking no longer functioning

Dictionary errors

Missing spell checker features

In most cases, the solution is simple:

1.Go to the Dictionary setup option

2.Select it once

3.Allow the registration process to complete

The spell checker should then operate normally again.


Important Notes

This setup must be performed individually on each workstation

The process does not affect your data files

No reinstallation is required

Running the setup again will not harm the system

The registration process is quick and normally only takes a few seconds.
