Under normal operation, the authorization for MLS 2026 is maintained automatically by the Auto Updater service running on the server. In most installations, no manual action is ever required.
However, if the Auto Updater service is not running properly, the authorization information may become outdated. When this occurs, certain program functions may appear restricted or unavailable.
To correct this, MLS 2026 provides a manual authorization option that can be run directly from a workstation.
The authorization system controls and verifies:
•Licensed program modules
•Subscription eligibility
•Legacy quarterly licensing
•Rental account status
•Support eligibility
•Company information
•Shop name and address data
•Feature activation
If authorization information becomes outdated, the system may:
•Report expired access
•Restrict specific features
•Disable modules
•Prevent updates from loading properly
In most cases, this simply means the Auto Updater service has stopped running.
The authorization utility can be launched from a workstation and will perform the update remotely on the server.
This process:
•Refreshes the current authorization file
•Updates licensing information
•Restores access to authorized features
•Synchronizes the system with current subscription status
The procedure only takes a few moments.
Authorization problems are usually caused by:
•The Auto Updater service not running
•Server reboots that interrupted services
•Windows updates
•Network interruptions
•Firewall or security software interference
Before troubleshooting more complex issues, always:
1.Verify the Auto Updater service is running
2.Review the Process Log
3.Run the manual authorization update if necessary
•Manual authorization does not modify your data
•The process requires communication with the server
•Normally, authorization updates occur automatically in the background
•If problems continue after manual authorization, contact technical support
In many cases, simply restoring the Auto Updater service resolves the issue permanently.
