Signatures and Summaries

 

Credit Card Receipt Processing

When a credit card payment is processed through MLS 2026, the transaction details are printed directly on the:

invoice

customer receipt

The system records important payment information including:

card type

authorization information

payment amount

transaction references

MLS 2026 supports:

👉 up to four separate credit card transactions

on a single workorder.

This is useful when:

splitting payments

combining payment methods

processing partial approvals


Electronic Signature Capture

If your merchant provider includes a:

signature terminal

customer-facing payment device

the customer may sign electronically during payment processing.

When the customer signs:

the image is saved automatically

the signature is attached to the transaction

the signature prints on the final invoice

This provides a clean and professional authorization process.


Manual Signature Authorization

If a signature terminal is not being used:

⚠️ always have the customer sign the printed invoice copy.

The customer should also sign the:

authorization line

printed below the credit card transaction details.

This creates a physical authorization record for:

charge verification

customer disputes

accounting documentation

To capture a signature:

open the workorder

select the Sign button

the signature terminal will prompt the customer

When the customer presses:

OK

on the signature device:

the image is saved automatically

the signature prints on the final invoice

This helps document:

estimate approvals

work authorization

invoice acceptance

customer pickup confirmation


Transaction Summary Reports

MLS 2026 includes detailed reporting for merchant activity.

Reports are available from:

Reports → Workorders

Finance → Merchant Services

using the:

Credit Card Report

option.


Credit Card Summary Reports Include

The reports provide:

transaction dates

invoice references

payment totals

card types

refunds and credits

Transactions are grouped and summarized by:

card type

to simplify:

balancing

merchant reconciliation

bookkeeping review


Date Range Reporting

When generating reports, you may specify:

beginning date

ending date

This allows you to review:

daily activity

weekly batches

monthly totals

historical transactions
