MLS 2026 includes integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) connectivity designed to assist service writers, managers, and office personnel with:
•Writing assistance
•Research
•Customer communications
•Technical information lookup
•Document editing
•Summarization
•Content generation
The system currently supports:
•Microsoft Copilot
•Google Gemini
•OpenRouter AI services
These tools are integrated directly into MLS 2026 for quick access while working within the program.
Microsoft Copilot integration is built directly into MLS 2026.
Pressing the:
F3 Key
will automatically open Microsoft Copilot.
No special configuration is required.
The system simply launches the Copilot service installed within Windows or available through the user’s browser environment.
Copilot may be helpful for:
•Writing customer communications
•Summarizing technical information
•Drafting estimates
•Creating service explanations
•Editing text
•Rewriting descriptions
•Generating business correspondence
Because the service is launched directly from MLS 2026, users can quickly move between the shop management system and AI assistance tools.
MLS 2026 also supports direct connectivity to Google Gemini.
Pressing the:
F4 Key
will launch Gemini access from within the system.
Unlike Copilot, Gemini requires:
•A user API key
•Google AI account setup
To use Gemini with MLS 2026:
1.Create or sign into your Google account
2.Go to the Google AI Studio website:
3.Select:
oGet API Key
4.Create a new API key
5.Copy the generated key value
Keep this key private and secure.
Once you obtain the API key:
Go to:
Tools → Setup → 3rd Party → Gemini Key
Enter the API key value into the provided field and save the changes.
MLS 2026 will then use this key whenever Gemini connectivity is requested through the F4 interface or related AI functions.
MLS 2026 also supports advanced AI text generation services through OpenRouter.
OpenRouter provides access to multiple AI models through a single interface and is primarily used within MLS 2026 for:
•Text editing
•Writing assistance
•Content refinement
•Advanced document generation
This integration is especially useful within the MLS text editing systems.
To activate OpenRouter support:
1.Create an account at OpenRouter
2.Sign in to your account
3.Navigate to:
oAPI Keys
4.Create a new API key
5.Copy the generated key value
Depending on usage levels, OpenRouter services may involve usage-based billing through their platform.
Once the key has been created:
Go to:
Tools → Setup → 3rd Party → Text AI
Enter the OpenRouter API key and save the configuration.
MLS 2026 will then use the service for supported AI text editing operations.
Artificial Intelligence tools can greatly improve productivity, but users should always:
•Review generated text carefully
•Verify technical information
•Confirm pricing and legal language
•Use professional judgment before sending customer communications
AI systems are designed to assist users, not replace human decision-making.
All AI services require:
•An active internet connection
•Valid API authorization (when applicable)
If connectivity is unavailable:
•The AI functions will not operate
•MLS 2026 itself will continue functioning normally
MLS 2026 does not directly host AI systems.
The software simply connects to the selected provider using:
•Secure API connections
•User-supplied credentials
Users should avoid submitting:
•Sensitive financial information
•Passwords
•Confidential customer data
•Protected personal information
to any third-party AI service unless they fully understand the provider’s privacy policies and terms of use.
Current supported integrations include:
•Microsoft Copilot
•Google Gemini
•OpenRouter AI
Additional AI integrations may be added in future MLS 2026 releases as technologies continue to evolve.
