Browsing Files |
Top Previous Next |
Looking at a data file in a spreadsheet format is called "browsing". When you first select a file, a new window appears in browse format. Each row ( horizontal ) contains the data for one record. Each column holds the data for a field.
You can browse up or down using the arrow keys, Page Up and Page Down keys, or the bar on the right side of the screen. You can move across the row ( fields ) using the tab key, or right arrow. You can move back to the first field by using the Shift-Tab, or left arrow key.
The browse view gives you the opportunity to see, and compare, all of the records. Of course, the number displayed at any one time is limited by the size of the window. |
